Programming the thermostat for savings

|

Have you heard of those new productivity apps that you install on your iphone? They track your screen time, app usage, in addition to how often you randomly pick up your iphone throughout the day just to see if there has anything new on the home screen.

I think that these apps are extremely powerful in addition to provide a lot of useful information about our current ways of living.

I also think that a similar app needs to be developed for our indoor air temperature appliances. In the same way that to these apps encourage people to be more independent from their cell iphones, an HVAC application could discourage people from abusing their central heating in addition to cooling systems throughout the day. If you are anything like me, you might be a bit obsessed with your indoor comfort. When I’m at home, I’m obsessed with being comfortable in my own space. I want ideal indoor air temperature conditions, however often times, rather than trying to mediocre my own temperature with clothing swings or blankets, I will simply wander down the hallway in addition to mess with my thermostat settings. I find that I do this so several times throughout the day, my exhausting central heating in addition to cooling system gets put through its paces. It’s a terrible habit, in addition to it contributes to much higher utility bills each month, however I’m not sure how to be more mindful of my habitual thermostat checking. That’s why, I’d love if they could simply come up with an app that controlled your smart thermostat accessibility. Lock me out of my indoor air temperature control, in addition to do me a favor.
